Hi fellow bassist! My first real posts, and I have to tell you I've searched the web and talkbass 100 times for this :

I just bought a guitarfetish pickup that I'm very impressed with, very punchy sound if I want it, very deep sound if I want it and the output is amazing. I know that MM-style basses isn't the right bass(maybe I'm wrong?) for reggae. The problem is that I play many types of music, but I want that oldschool Peter Tosh\Bob Marley sound that many of us love. I get close to the sound, but it doesent hit just right. You pro's know what I mean.

I have a "noname" jazzbass that I de-fretted for fun, but I dont want to use it as my primary bass as I love my OLP MM2, and the new pickup really rocks!

Installing a preamp is impossible for me, maybe there is a pedal that can help me? It has also crossed my mind to install a jazz-neck pickup, if that sounds like a good idea, how do I do it? I have to admit that compared to you guys I'm a newbie

Best regards from Norway
