Parallel/Series switch JazzV
Hey all Im wanting to add a push/pull series/Parallel switch option to my Fender AM Jazz V Standard. Ive looked up some wiring diagrams for this showing 4 bangers, but nothing regarding the 5 string pickup wiring schematics. It looks pretty straightforward from what Ive seen, nothing out of my ability range.
My question is regarding anything that would be out of the ordinary for this operation from a four string schematic and applying it to the five string. I cant imagine anything that would be any different, but why not ask those that might know more than I.... Also, is there any brand or type of switch that anyone might suggest? I want to use the push/pull volume knob for this, which seems pretty standard. I love the sound of my jazz in stock form, Im just looking for another variable tone to use. Ive played 4 string basses with this wiring in the past, and I do like the ability to switch back and forth. Thanks in advance...

Hmm. So no one has an opinion or suggestion on this? I find this puzzling.

it's exactly the same, the pots and switch don't care how many strings you have :)
also, go for it! the series option is a winner on the passive american jazz V basses, it really wakes up the low B; of all the fenders that had the "S1" switch for series-parallel, the passive Jazz V was the only one that really benefited IMO.

Thanks for the input walter, so just a standard s1 switch. Any preferences on brand that you know of? I've rewired basses in the past and have had issues with cheaper pots.
