Picckup Cover For Epiphone JC Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Love my Jack Casady but not the yellow plastic trim. I have replaced the knobs with Fender chromes and like that much better. However the pickup cover still looks bad so I want to replace that as well. I have searched for another (chromed) version but find nothing to fit that shape cover. Can anyone assist. Its listed as a Humpbucker JCB LI-1. Thanks & take care. Bob

I'm pretty sure that pickup is epoxied into the case, so you can't replace the cover. You could probably paint it black with some of that spray paint for plastic. A chrome cover would also slightly alter the tone.

That color is supposed to be cream, not yellow. That bass is a reissue of the old Les Paul Signature basses, and that was the trim they used.

I have been thinking of painting it and will probably end up doing so. Don`t want to alter the tone. It`s great as is. Thanks for taking time to reply. Take care. Bob
