I recommend that you either do not buy a MIA Fender or hold off on your "upgrade" plans till you've owned the stock bass for at least 5 months.
The Fender USA Jazz Bass is not a "jazz bass on steroids" and was not manufactured with that intention. It is an active traditional jazz bass. If what you're after is a "jazz bass on steroids" you're throwing your money away on a Fender and would probably be much better served by something like a USA G&L or Lakland skyline or a host of other instruments that actually purports to be such a bass.
IMO buying a bass of this quality with the intention of modifying it is misguided at best. Particularly a Fender, which come equipped very nicely right out of the box. The pickups and EQ on the Fender are top notch pieces and need no replacemnet whatsoever.
If you're really a big fan of Fender, maybe a Jazz bass 24 would serve you better. Or a Roscoe Beck model, they are excellent basses. Or if you can find one, the "FMT" version of the jazz bass, though expensive, is close to what you're after.
If you're specifically buying to modify, you may be better served by one of the lower cost MIM or MIJ models.
