pick-up issues SOS

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey I just got a new acoustic electric bass off of ebay. Its a Washburn 32, which I think is old and discontinued. It sounds great unplugged, but when I put a battery into the pick up, the red battety indicator doesn't turn on and I can't get any sound out of my amp through the pick ups. The battery gets really hot, which makes me nervous...please help!!! I just spent $500 on this.

THanks

Either the amp or accessories classifieds has an ebay sticky. I'd read it even though it's after the fact.

Don't know the details but I'd have called for a pickup/return within 24 hrs.

If the battery is getting hot fast then it's shorting out. There is a short of the preamp.

That would be my first assumption too. Either return it, or contact the seller and arrange for a rebate and get it fixed buy a competent tech.
