Whats good and easy to change out for a good lowend with distinction that doesn't sound muddy, like the equivalent of a clean boost effect on a guitar but for a bass Plz reply thanks man

My first thought, a good amp with lottsa clean headroom. Or, are you asking about mods to your bass, or effects pedals?

I would change the strings to something bright, like DR Hi-Beams before you go and swap out pickups. If you're playing on dead strings, your tone will probably be muddy no matter what kind of pickups you're using.

Yeah not too worried for pick ups or hum bucks yet, but im a fan of GHS Boomer Flea Sigs and Ernie Slinky Strings are nice and twang, for slap and punk, but i guess your right a bout bright sounding string. Ive heard high end is hard to pick up.
