Pickup Brackets.....TB'er developed

Sign in to disble this ad
I remember reading in a thread a while back, a post made by a tb'er about custom made brackets by him that attach to the pickup bed on the bass, and then the pickups attach to the brackets instead of attaching them directly to the wood bed of the pickup routing in the bass.

anybody know who/what i'm talking about?

i've searched and my search mojo is week tonight.

Hi.

Can't help You, but if there was such a mention somewhere, that must've been buried in some thread since I don't recall seeing anything. That doesn't obviously mean that it didn't happen, or even that I might have replied to that thread .

A pickup mounting bracket isn't anything new, whether it's a quick connect or not, so what information specifically You're after?

Regards
Sam

yeah it was buried in a thread. i'm looking for a bracket that screws into the routed pickup bed and then the pickup screws into the bracket instead of screwing it directly into the wood.

where can i find this?

The Rickenbacker bridge pickup works that way.

I remember reading a thread about setting up a bass so you could adjust the location of the pickups without moving screw holes, etc. I think it was only intended as an experimental setup though. Do you think that was the same thread?
