Pickup change

Hi,

I'm currently playing with Ibanez SR505 with Bartolini MK1 pickups, but I want to improve my sound and one way to do that is to change pickups.
I'm looking for deep, mellow tone, so I really need some suggestions, what type of pickups should I look for or other ways to achieve my goal (preamps etc.).

This guy has a 6 string Ibanez with the same pickups as you. His tone is fantastic. What kind of amp do you have?
