Pickup "click"

Sometimes when I lightly touch or tap my strings, a click sound comes from my amp. It kind of sounds like a static discharge. Is something wrong with my pickups?

Are you sure your action is so low that when you tap the strings, the strings hit the pickups?

O.K. then, is it on every string or a certain string? Could there be a high fret?

If the poles are exposed Put a piece of Electrical Tape over them.

I have a similar problem. When i just touch the area around my neck pup, i hear a clicking sound from my amp. It really only interferes with my playing when im playing on the E string and my fingers hit the pguard. Im curious to hoe people suggest solving this problem

Hmm, I was at someone else's house when I was hearing the click, and now at my house it seems to have gone away. Must've been some sort of interference or something?
