Pickup Configuration

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

I'm Putting a new bass together and having trouble deciding on my pickup configuration. My choices are as follow:

Seymore Duncan SMB-5 + SJB-5 with STC-3 Electronics.

My questions are
1. is it possible to use the following configuration with the Electronics.

2. Is the wiring going to be tricky for this configuration.

3. and; has anyone used this configuration in their bass and what are your comments?

Thanks in advance

FWIW:

to my knowledge the STC-3 is just SD's 3 band. A pre can be used with active or passive pups and I've in fact mixed active and passive pups. I don't play 5's and I don't recall off hand what those pups are but yeh it's possible.
