Pickup covers on EMG precisions??

Sign in to disble this ad
This might sound crazy, but I have some P bass pickup covers in creme and I want to put them over my EMG's...

There seems to be enough room around the PU's for the cover to slide over the EMG's (they're not flush), but when I line them up to slide the covers over them, they just barely don't fit...

Anyone ever tried this? You think I could try to sand/shave off a little of the inside of the covers or maybe even sand down the EMG's a little on each side??

Here's a pic to show what I'm talkin about...
