Any recommendations? I called the Grooveshoppe and they suggested Guitar Center in Carle Place...but the guy there said he's really busy and probably won't have it done for another week. Any suggestions? Thank you. Sadowsky Guitars is also closed until January 2nd I believe.

This guy has one hell of a reputation on the island, but not much of a web site. It has been under construction for a year. Rumor has it that he does work for some big names in the area.

There is also a guy at the OakDale Music store that does pretty good work. Since I live near there that is who I use. He is a Warwick and Fender guy, but he will work on anything, he just may not have what you need in the store and have to order it.

I would highly recommend New York Music and Repair up in Huntington (on 110 just north of the Walt Whitman Mall). Phone number is: 631-385-1039. Kevin Zimmerly recommended them to me a few years ago and now I won't take my basses anywhere else.

Anybody know what a typical cost for a bass setup goes for on LI and where to go in Suffolk?
