Pickup and Knob not connected

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello all talkbass forumers!!

This is my first post so please bare with me... I need some help with my bass. I currently have a Peavey Milestone III 4-string bass and it turns out that when I bought the bass off Ebay, the pickup closest to the neck was not connected at all, as well as the closest knob to the top. I took off the pickguard and saw the white and black wires comming from the upper pickup. I have a picture of the pickup and knob that arent connected. I dont know what to connect to where to get sound out of the top pickup. I was screwing around with it and got it to pickup sound but I do not remember the configuration, oh yeah and the knob says 500k, I read something about that, not sure what though.... please help on what I should do next as in repairing it myself, id rather not take it to a repair shop.

Thanks in advanced for any help!
Nate
