Pickup Pole Noise

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi ppl, im experimenting an noise issue when im touching the poles of my jazz bass pickups... the pickups are seymour duncan stacks (humbuckers) and they have been properly installed and grounded, here are the details:

1. The pickups have a copper line on the bottom of the poles to ground them and prevent this issue. (This is conected via bare wire to the back of a volume pot)

2. The bass is entirely shielded with copper tape and shows 0.00 resistance at any point of the shield

3. Al components of the circuit that should be grounded (Pots, Jack, Bridge, Pickups, Control cavity) shows good signs of continuity and they are soldered nice and shinny.

4. The issue happens with different amps, outlets, places and cables.

Stills i dont where the problem is... maybe someone out there haves the answer

The outlet of my house is grounded to the outlet box, i know this its not the best ground ever but it helps... most of the outlets in my country are not grounded (High level of ignorance regarding electric works). Anyway i think that the outlet of my house should do the job and this issue must not be happening.
