Pickup question for all you guys out there

I am having a custom bass built. It will be a fretless 5 string. Wenge/purple heart neck, ebony fretboard and a bocote/spalted maple body. Now then, I am looking for a very modern sound for this bass but I can't decide which pups I should put in it.

I have narrowed it down to a set of humbucking q-tuners, Norstrand Dual Coils, Sadowsky humbuckers or Ken smith Humbuckers. This bass will be wired passive with a Volume, blend and tone control.

If anybody has ever used any of these pups, your opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

sounds like you need 4 basses...all great choices, from what I've heard...

for a modern sound, they're all good...the q-tuner will give you the most transparent sound of the lot...and the nordies will flat out kick!

Q-tuners, they changed my life!

here is a sound clip of my bass with BL4's, they kick butt on my active stuff.

I also have a wenge neck. I looked at your gear list, from where I'm sitting I think you will love the tuners.
