I'd like to try a new pickup in my 4-string Listerud bass.
Definitely looking for a "rock" voiced pickup, with clarity and definition. Punchy, yes, but not a nasal kind of punch. Something with attitude, not too hi-fi.
I've been looking at some of the Delano pickups at
Best Bass Gear , for instance this one:
But there are no soundclips, and I don't have the option of trying before buying. So I'm throwing this out to the Talkbass cognoscenti, feel free to offer any suggestions! I can use any kind of pickup shape, by the way, MusicMan, Jazz, Soapbar etc. - not restricted to P-bass style.
