Pickup suggestion for fretless P

I am building a fretless P from some spare parts. Does anyone have a suggestion on a P pickup that would produce a better sound for a fretless?

I think Bill Lawrence's P46 is the best P pickup I've ever heard, period. Be prepared to widen your pickguard cavity, though.

Yeah. I have some in another build. They do sound great. I just didn't know if there was some specific pick up that was known to work well with fretless. After all is said and done I may end up going with another Lawrence.

Aguilar AG-4p60 or Seymour Duncan Antiquity II.
Dimarzio Model P is another option if you want a more assertive (but not aggressive) tone.

Come to think of it the Seymour Duncan SPB-1 would also be very nice. Great value pickup.
