Pickup Suggestions for 70's P Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a 70's P Bass that does not have the original pickups in it. Right now they have SD Quarter pound pickups in them, and I dont really like the sound. What brand/style pickups should I buy that will sound closest to the original pickups.

Thanks

Scour ebay for a set of working gray bottom Fenders. Something like this:

I've heard very good things about Lollar pickups:

SD Quarter pounders are a bit "heavy" in tone for me...
My P-bass is loaded with a D&G, Co. pickup (some no name chinese brand, I suspect)...I think the tone is spot on...
