Hey everyone, did a search both here & on Google and it didn't pull anything terribly useful.
Weds is going to be NBD for me as UPS should be delivering a brand spankin' new Schecter Deluxe 8 String. I'm going to be stringing it up with SIT Power Steels and will likely throw in a Audere pre at some point.
I primarily plan on using the bass for some solo work, with a fair bit of 3 and even 4 note chords in the upper registers. I'm looking for a very open, bright tone with as much clarity from note to note as possible. So any suggestions on possible upgraded pickups? I'm thinking SGD right now as I replaced the neck in my 12ver with one and like it, but am open to suggestions.
The stock pups are generic Schecter labeled, and I believe EMG35 shaped. Any ideas on pups that work especially well with clean chord playing? |
