see Dimento's Trouble-shooting Guide in FAQ. There's a Bass Modification link in the first paragraph that's the approach I use. Same for any bass.
Hmm, looks like it may be one of those goofy Fender style pups. Pic came up slow. You may have to get something that will just fit within the confines of the route, maybe use a surround/pickguard if necessary. Or route - which is pretty extreme.
