Pickup swap in bullet bass - humbucker?

Looking to put a humbucker pup in my 1983 MIJ Bullet bass. I love a deep warm tone and wanted to try something other than a split coil P bass type pickup. I've thought about TV Jones or the G&L MFD for starters. Any experience, suggestions, advice someone can offer?

I think Aero makes a pup (of superior quality) that would fit that bass, IIRC. The website is called Aero Instruments I think.
