Pickup wire question (eeny-meeny-miney-mo)

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm installing an Audere JZ3 in a Mexi Jazz. The Audere instructions show where to connect the Bridge common and the Bridge hot, the Neck common and the Neck hot.

Other than trial & error, is there a logical way to know which wire is common and which is hot?

My GUESS is that BLACK = COMMON, YELLOW = HOT

Can anybody correct or confirm?

Peace,

James
