As part of my recent investigations into same for my Jazz, I've visited the sites below.

After ploughing through many of the diagrams for both bass and guitar I've concluded the difference between the two isn't that great. And, therefore, for anyone interested in learning more about the general subject, wanting to mod their bass, etc, these sites hold a wealth of information. I recommend studying the guitar diagrams as well as the bass diagrams.

As an all round site, SD is probably the best as it details Ricks, MM, Gibson and so on, as well as the Fenders.
