Pickup wiring dilemma...

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a pickup from a Cort GB25 that had its leads removed on accident. My buddy attached new leads and we cannot figure out how to get it wired properly. It's a 5 string MM-style pickup that I THINK is made by Mighty Mite. There are no markings whatsoever. It has 2 leads and a bare ground. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could have sworn that I replied to this.

The bare lead to the ground, and one of the two to the ground aswell. Use the remaining lead as the hot. Assuming all connections are sound.

In a one pickup bass, it doesn't matter which end of the pickup that you use as the hot.

You are a godsend! Works perfectly, aside from the dirty vol pot.
