| Pickups-Bass to Bass Similarities?

In the ever ending quest for the perfect tone I am back in the market for another bass. One bass Im looking at is a lakland 44-01 with a Bart mk1 system. I have never played one but did play an Ibanez with the same system in GC yesterday to get an understanding of the electronics. I was severally disappointed with the tone. My question is, will the lakland produce a similar sound with the same electronics installed? I have been a fender guy for the last few years. I am however very impressed with the musicman sound, especially the new sterling series for the price. I was very high on lakland with all the reviews I have read. Thoughts? |
