pickups for fender jazz

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a fender geddy lee jazz bass, and I'm look for new pickups to put in it. I'm looking for pickups that will give me more punch and high end. I am looking at some deleno's, but don't know if they are worth the money. Any suggestions?

Wow, the Geddy is the best sounding passive Jazz I have played.

I really like that model, although there most certainly must be variance from bass to bass.

I'm surprised you want to swap out the pups.

Good luck. I'm sure you'll get some excellent advice.

I've never played one, but going by what the other guy said, they sound good. Could your amp not be good enough for it?
As for pickups, I always use seymour duncans. Ive always like the sound. I also use a compression pedal so I can pretty much get what i want.

Seymour duncans would be good choice imo. Brighter then Dimarzios (you indicate you want brighter pups) and higher output then the stock pups.
