I've recently started thinking about my next bass, and I decided I want a fretless precision bass with big flatwound strings to give it that deep doublebass growl. I'm pretty broke, but I figured I could buy an SX fretless P clone because I've heard such good things about them (SX in general, not their fretless P's mind you). The only thing left to decide is what kind of pickup to swap into it. What would be the best precision style pickup for a fretless guitar with flatwounds for a smooth but super deep doublebass kind of sound? |
