I bought some EMG ones for my p-bass. Think it is easy enough for me to do it myself.

It takes a couple of minutes if you can solder.

If you cant, i recommend that you learn to solder.

Edit:
make sure not to leave the iron on the back of pots for too long, because you can melt the plastic inside...

Active EMG's? If they came with the wiring harness, it'll be a breeze.

Active EMG's with the wiring harness just clip in, yes. If you've got a passive set with just two wires coming from the pickups, it's a different story.

Pretty much what you'll want to to is memorize how it looks before you take the old pickups out, and make it look exactly the same. If you're afraid of messing up the soldering, or just don't have access to a soldering iron, you can use wire nuts. Cut the existing pickup leads an inch or two away from the pots, leaving that much attached to the pot. Strip maybe 1/4" off the ends of the wires and twist the wires from the pickups and the wires from the pots together, then twist on the wire nuts.

Hope you followed that.

I am not familiar with EMG pickups, but i think that they have those cheap clip on things rather than soldered in leads.

if thats the case, just clip the leads onto the pickup, and solder the wires to your volume pot.
