Pickups for the jazz

Sign in to disble this ad
Wanting to upgrade my pickups in my 4 string jazzbass. There still the factory setup. I play a wide range of rock/hardrock from 70's to current. I was wondering what pickups yall push and thinking about upgrading my tone/volume knobs or setup to give me a little more versatility. Need some ideas. Thanks

Tons of threads on this, try the search function. You'll find all you need.

Duncan Antiquity, Lollars For my $

Also audio tapered CTS pots and maybe series/parallel switch (or push pull pot)

"J" pickups discussion and comparisons.

There is a wealth of information on that thread. For myself, I love the Dimarzio model J with series/parallel wiring. Have also just been rocking the single coil Fenders with a series/parallel switch. And plus 1 on EMGs for rock.
