Pickups Keep Cutting In and Out

Sign in to disble this ad
I replaced the pickups in my MIM P bass to Nordstrands NP4 and I noticed that it seems to cut out every once in a while for a second than back in... I thought it was the cable but I used my other bass with the same cable and it didn't happen at all. Did I **** up the pickups?

Bad connection.

Check your solder job - - check for cold-solder joints.

You might also check the output jack to be sure it's tight. Try plugging the bass in and seeing if it cuts out when you wobble the plug back and forth.
