Pickups for Multi-String Basses, Opinions?

Thinking about changing the pickups in my Hamer B12A from EMG to Dimarzio. Original Setup is EMG P & EMG HB.

Enjoy the Split P Bass / X2N Combo in other basses.

So I'm thinking about this setup.

Just recognized on the Dimarzio website the relatively new 'D Activator-X' pickups.

Any experience/ opinions on these?

Any other good advice?
