Desiring to learn a little more about setting up guitars I am rebuilding this project guitar. It’s been stripped down and I am wondering about the pickups. This bass is a cheap Korean made plywood bodied bass. Below are some pic’s of my pickups. I’d like to know what they are and if they are any good! Thanks.
They are ultra cheap copies of Hofner pickups. They are just single coils. I don't know why they have a guitar pickup bobbin stuffed in there, but I guess its just to keep the pickup bobbin in place.
