pickups for my epiphone flying v

Sign in to disble this ad
I bought a epiphone flying v bass last year & I am thinking about putting in some new pickups as I figure the stock ones aren't the greatest, any suggestions- 1. I play in a metal/punk/hard rock band(Rucker's Tomb) 2. I'd rather not get active pickups if I can avoid it

Is the bass short scale? I like bartolinis and have used them in all of my builds. I've also tried EMGs and bassline humbuckers but wasn't really impressed. The basslines were too clean and the emgs sounded sterile...

Some nice looking soapbars would be the best bet.

Barts are probably pretty good. Have a look round and see what the players of your favourite genre are using.
