pickups..please help!

okay so i was wondering. can you tell me if you can add pickups to your bass? and if you can, do you have to send your bass away to like somewhere to get it fixed up. thanks for your help.

Yes. If you have any experience with woodworking and soldering electronics, you can do it. Otherwise, I recommend taking it to a good tech.
