Pickups and preamp consumption on RBX 375 vs SR505 vs SR305

Endless talking about the 9V capacity and how long the battery holds.
I take my multimeter and put 9V battery just on one contact while the other one was connected to mA meter.

I really like my Yamaha RBX375 but I wasnt happy with the result.
The power drain was 3.81 mA, while on the Ibanez SR505 was just 0.77 mA !!! On the Ibanez SR305 consumption was 0.80 mA.
Both the Ibanezes were measured in the shop.

Its not about that I dont have money for the batteries but its more about old and new electronics in "new" guitars.

Yup. My RBX375 seems to chew through batteries also. Some folks claim theirs doesn't, but it certainly hasn't been my experience.

Frankly, I don't think a preamp replacement is really worth it... so I'll just keep shoveling batteries in, or open up the battery compartment after I'm done with each session and disconnect it.

My RBX375 doesn't chew batteries, I could as easily go for 9 months on a single one. The preamp isn't exactly ideal - I'd say the bass and treble are too extreme. I'm planning to swap mine with a MusicMan one.
