pickups on a precision

saw a bass on tv last night. looked like an old precision but the pickups were white or a cream color. any ideas what they might have been? i dont remember any like that being stock but im just learning. thanks for any replys.

Dimarzio has made them for years. I had a set leftover from an OLD BC Rich project that are now in my OLD Vantage P bass

Althought dimarzio's are probably the better answer, all it is is plastic. You can get a new color pickup cover in whatever color you want.

Nothing unusual in white pup covers. They were fitted to the precision standard during the early eighties until they reverted back to black

All it is is plastic.

That was my thought. Fender sold Ps with white pickup covers in the '80s (it would HAVE to be the '80s).

Kinda like white capezio's (rumble about my 80's reference showing my age...)

Yup, Fenders had white covers for a few years in the early 80's. Better chance that they were DiMarzio's or some other after market brand.

There are places you can get a whole bunch of different colored covers to suit your tastes.

This is very true, but the OP should also understand that not all pickups can be removed from the covers easily.
