Which pickups for this sound?

I'm after some new pickups for my new Aria 5-string jazz bass.

This is the sort of vibe I'm after:
Ben Kenney - Not Today | Burn the Tapes DVD - YouTube

I can see its a Lakland Jazz Bass of some description which would lead me to these:

DB J-5 Set (Neck and Bridge)

My only confusion is in the option of overwinding? I'm not really sure what it refers to and could use a little advice.

How overwound would one go in trying to replicate this sound?

The sound he's getting there is from a pick plus overdrive. Any passive set would work for that tone if you add some crunch to it. I use to have that same sound using Dimarzio Model Js with a modded for bass Tubescreamer.

Find out how he's getting the overdrive. Some amps have it like my Marshall Jubilee 3530.
Ben plays pretty high end gear so I doubt he's using something cheap. Maybe a preamp like a Pearce.
