pickups width and string spacing

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello fellaz

ok on the bart site, they say that you have to have at least a 6mm OR 0.250....1/4'' til the edge

does this apply to all pickups? DELANO , EMG and so on...

I have my eye set on DELANOS SBC 6 HE/S (maybe s-4...btw are they worth the price???)

anyways....these pups are 118mm wide (4.645'') and my string spacing at bridge is 18mm (0.708'')

now 0.708 x 5 = 3.540''............(the 5 is for 6 string bass)

so

4.645 - 3.540 = 1.105 / 2 = 0.552

this means that i have 0.552'' (1/2'') before the edge of the pops...right?...

so i'm good......... right??

thx
