So i was planing to order a hipshot bass bridge online and i wanted to know if the bass hipshot bass bridge would do the trick if i wanted to achieve that acoustic upright sorta sound or would i require a piezo pickup aswell.I dont have much idea about how the piezo system works so any and help/suggestions would be much appreciated.

thanks.

Installing a Hipshot bridge won't get you an upright bass sound. Period.

Some things that will get you closer will be:
fretless
flatwound strings
foam under strings by bridge
palm muting technique

yeah, bridge piezos on electric basses sound more like giant acoustic guitars or pianos than uprights.
