piezo preamp squirrel aardvark

question:

i have an italia mondial (solid body version), which has a passive humbucker and an active piezo bridge pickup (wired stereo cuz they're cool ). i don't really like the sound of the piezo pickup however, so i decided (a while ago) to put in another humbucker (infact the body is awaiting rerouting at a local lumberjacks shed). could i hook this new humbucker into the same preamp as the piezo (i'd be taking out the piezo naturally), or would i need a different preamp? do piezo pickups need specifically different preamps than magnetic pickups?

i mean it's not a huge deal, i could easily make it all passive, but i thought i'd be cool if i could use the preamp thats already in there...

oh here's a squirrel aardvark hybrid to justify the wierd thread title:

It should work. The buffer used for piezos may be designed a little bit differently than the preamps sold for use with magnetic pups, but it would typically be similar enough to work.
