Question Piezo toggle/volume on push-pull pot

Sign in to disble this ad
I've got a 60s Kent hollowbody that I'm restoring, and I'd like to add a piezo pickup under the bridge. How could I wire everything so that when I pull on the bridge pickup volume knob, it cuts off the magnetic pickups and "turns on" the piezo AND have that same volume knob ALSO control the piezo volume, while the piezo is engaged?

If it would be simpler/more realistic, I could use a separate mini toggle switch, instead of the push-pull pot.

Not a techhead and little experience with piezo's but there's an impedence issue with them that typically requires a buffered system (active). To my knowledge the passive setup of your inquiry won't work. Try a TB/google search for piezos.
