Pitfalls of Replacing Just the Bridge Pickup

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a new MIM Jazz, and while I love the neck pickup, the bridge one is just kind of weak-sounding compared to my other Jazz. Would it be possible/advisable to replace just the bridge pickup? Since the existing pickup has staggered pole pieces, would it be a good idea to look at the SD Antiquity II?

If you use the SD pickup with a Fender pickup you'll have to wire it with the black wire as hot, and the white as ground.
(see SD site "wiring diagrams")
