PJ pickups for Hot growls

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello guys and girls...

Just bought a cheapo PJ bass as I wanted a cheap 4string for me to play at home to kill time... so I wonder what you guys would recommend me on pups for me to have a hotter and more growly sound...

I've been told that the SDs SPB3 and SJB3 would do the job pretty well but I also wonder about the DiMarzio DP126....

let me know what you guys think..

Cheers

I'd say go with the Duncans but, that's just me.

What type of music do you play if it's heavy stuff maybe stick with the Duncans if it's
softer maybe go with the Dimarzio's if it's a mix of this and that maybe get a SBP3 and a Dimarzio Model J bridge.

I think that'd do wonders for the regular cover band but, what do I know I don't do covers.

I love my Dimarzio PJ setup for what its worth. Never tried duncans, but i also hear good things about them.

I don't think you will be disappointed with either set up.

Good Luck.
