PJ set up

hey so I'm thinking about making my jazz bass into a pj set up. quarter pound jazz pick up on the bridge and quarter pound precision pick up. think this is a good idea for that afi/bayside tone? i'm also gonna be playing with some dr strings. i have a fender mexican jazz bass. right now it's a jazz bass set up. do you think its gonna cost me extra or its gonna take extra work for htem to make it into a pj set up? i've never donethis before

All depends on the route under the pickguard. Most likely it will need some routing on the body. And you'll need a new pickguard with the Precision shaped hole, as well as the two new pickups.
