Question PJ wiring advice (or going nuts)

That's the deal:

I gave up selling my Essex BG80 and my Fender '62 jazz pickup, and I am planning to make it a PJ.

Which wiring configuration do you think will be the coolest? I am planning to keep the 3 holes on the pickguard, one for the jack and the others to be used by the pots/switches.

So I have two holes to go nuts . That's some ideas I've been thinking:

1-
pos1: blend
pos2: tone

2-
pos1: Pickup selector (a la Les Paul)
pos2: tone + on-off

3-
pos1: blend
pos2: tone + series-parallel

4-
pos1: blend
pos2: Ptone + Jtone stacked

5-
pos1: Pvol + Ptone stacked
pos2: Jvol + Jtone stacked
('62 Jazz Wiring)

6-
pos1: blend
pos2: Ptone + Jtone stacked

I'm not too worried about volume, I use to have it always maxed out.

Any other configutration that worth trying???

I like #5. It seems to be the most flexible and offers the most contol over you tonal choices.

If you have 2 total holes for pots, I say go:

1. P volume with a push/pull series/parallel switch for the pickup
2. J volume/overall tone stack

-edit-

kept changing my mind

Talk about making the most with the least. Think the stacked volume/tone pots would indeed give you maximum control, although not necessarily the best sound. Seems a good starting place though, and if your satisfied enough, the end of the hunt. Hell, with two pots, it's no major task to try them all.
