Please help convert active Fender Zone to passive.

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a MIM Fender Zone P/J whose active electronics are shot. I'd like to convert it to passive. There are 5 controls (vol, blend, 3 band eq). Can anyone think of a way I could utilize all five holes? Could I do

Vol / Vol / Tone / Tone / Switch for series or parallel?

I'm a newbie at electronics and my searching hasn't helped me with this question.

I'd rather not spend money on a new active replacement system (I blew too much on a Sterling and a Bongo)

Thanks!

FWIW:

yep you could do that.

See FAQ Dimento's Trouble Shooting Guide - the Bass Mod link in the first paragraph. Depending on what the pots values are you may even be able to use the same ones in a passive circuit.
