 PLEASE HELP: installed new pickups but no sound

Please help!! I know how to solder and that's about it, when it comes to preamps, pickups and electronics. I installed a bartolini p/j set in my bass that previously had EMG p/j's. I soldered the barts to the same places as the emg's were, but I get no sound. I can hear when i'm turning the pots and they work, but plucking a string has no sound at all. All i know about the preamp is that it's a 2 band eq, no clue of company, the bass is an Ibanez SR1500. The pots have small circutboards attached to them. I can take pics if necessary. How can I make these work correctly? |
