Took in my bass to repair for what seemed to me a simple resoldering on the tone (treble) pot. I got it back and when I roll on the tone, all I get is this strange distorted noise. Also, a little bit less output.

So I opened it up and noticed a loose black wire stemming from the pickup (stock Dean humbucker). Where does this go? Bridge and jack wiring seems ok. Is this a straightforward soldering job or do I need a diagram from Dean?

Sorry about the bad quality pics.
Pic 2 is the volume pot and 3 is the tone pot.

Take it back to whoever "fixed" it.

If you're ignorant about it the first time, I don't see how taking it a second time would yield different results.
