PLEASE HELP!!! Tone Pots?

Sign in to disble this ad
hey all, I have a Musicman OLP bass. I bought it for 50$ from a friend a year or so ago, the tone knob has been smashed off. I'm going to have to replace the entire pot. Does anyone know what kind of pot it uses and where I can get it. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!

FWIW:

the pot should have pot size listed on it, not all do. If passive likely a 250 or 500K. Personally I've found no significant difference using either one.

Stewmac.com, guitarelectronics.com, allparts.com, or any distributor listed in previous posts obtained from a TB search or that would pull up from a google search.

For tone I would go for the 250k if its a passive setup.

I wouldn't got the Stewmac route for a pot. The shipping is a pain unless you order a bunch of stuff. Any guitar shop should have a replacment.

Don't forget that the pot should be audio taper, not linear. Audio taper pots have an 'A' somewhere in the name/code, i.e. 250KA, instead of 250K (which would be linear taper).
