Pole Alignment?

I just got a 5 string Kahler Trem that I was gonna put on my bass, however, I have a problem. The current pickup in my bass is a Basslines MM pickup with exposed pole pieces. As it currently stands the strings are roughly centered over the poles. If I were to put on the Kahler the B and G strings would no longer be over their respective pole pieces. This would not be good at all right? I would need to get a new pickup (which I really do not want to do because I absolutely love the sound of the bass). The B and G wouldn't really pick up well if they were not over their pole pieces, hence I would need a blade coil pickup right? (bartolini being the only one I can find that would be a direct replacement for the SD, but I am not a fan of barts hence my dilemma.)

I think it might be an issue with an MM pickup, though not so much with alot of other pickups (J and P style seem to be less affected in my experience...). You could see if Kahler makes a tremelo with the same string spacing as your bass...

Yeah, I got the trem in trade I checked the spacing on my neck but not pickup so I'm all good in the neck range but the pickup not so much. It looks like I might not be able to use it after all.
